Mary Boucher joins Heather R. Hayes & Associates with over two decades of experience in clinical practice, administration and advocacy in the mental health and substance abuse fields. Mary obtained a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida. During this time, she worked as a primary therapist and counselor assistant at The Hanley Center and then Origins Behavioral Health, both nationally recognized leaders in addiction treatment. She received her Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Social Work from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. While Mary’s focus has been in the field of substance abuse for the last 28 years, she has worked in various capacities at community and private agencies in Salt Lake City, Utah, (Drug Free Community) Bethlehem, PA (Director of a transitional house for women) and most recently in West Palm Beach, FL.

Recently, Mary moved back to the Northeast to open a private practice and is excited to join Heather R. Hayes & Associates as Clinical Coordinator, while working towards full licensure. She is on the roster for non-licensed psychotherapists in Vermont and is a registered mental health intern in the state of Florida. Mary was raised in a military family and has traveled extensively throughout her life here in the United States and Europe. Mary’s passion centers on building strong, compassionate and empathic alliances with clients who struggle with life challenges, ranging from but not limited to; addiction, codependency, depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss issues, women’s issues and adjustment disorders and crisis management.
